AMSTERDAM - Employers' organisation VNO-NCW wants those who opt to work from home to be given extra rewards. In a letter to state secretary for finance Jan Kees de Jager the employers ask for fiscal measures to allow home workers to keep more net salary after tax.

The maximum compensation for setting up a workplace at home should also be increased, says the VNO-NCW: from the current maximum of EUR 1,815 every five years to EUR 3,000.

Home workers should also be given a contribution for their heating and lighting costs. These incentives would be aimed at reducing traffic congestion, which would result in better economic growth.
