Record number of complaints for Ziggo
Consumentenbond receives more than 2,500 complaints about cable company Ziggo within 24 hours.12 June 2008
THE NETHERLANDS - The Dutch consumer association Consumentenbond has received more than 2,500 complaints about cable company Ziggo within 24 hours.
Ziggo was created recently by the merger of three companies: Casema, @Home and Multikabel.
The Consumentenbond had opened a special complaint line to keep track of the type of complaints and the size of the problem.
The 2,500 calls received is an exceptionally large number for such a short period.
About seven out 10 people who contacted the Consumentenbond complained about Ziggo's internet connection. Customers also complained about the long waiting period on the company's helpdesk phone line.
