ROTTERDAM – Rachid B, the 32-year-old suspected Hofstadgroep member arrested in London on 22 June, was to be extradited to the Netherlands on Tuesday.
He will appear before the examining magistrate in Rotterdam on Friday, a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor's office said.
The public prosecutor's office said B helped the Syrian Abu K, the suspected spiritual leader of the Hofstadgroep terrorist network, get out of the Netherlands on 2 November 2004, the day Theo van Gogh was murdered.
B, who arrived in the UK in January, attracted the attention of the authorities during an investigation into human smuggling in Zeeland. The Netherlands asked Britain for his extradition.
On Wednesday, the third pro forma hearing of twelve suspected Hofstadgroep members will take place in Rotterdam.
It could then also become clear whether the public prosecutor's office will prosecute Mohammed B in the case.
The prosecutor's office has said Mohammed B, sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday for the murder of Theo van Gogh, played a leading role in the terror network.
