AMSTERDAM — Dutch monarch, Queen Beatrix, does not figure in this year's list of the 100 most influential women in the world.
The Dutch Queen in 35th position in the 2004 list compiled by US business magazine Forbes. A mention in the list is based on a combination of visibility and the person's economic impact. Visibility is judged on how many times the candidate is mentioned in the media.
US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was listed as the number one most influential woman in the world for the second year running.
Some 66 percent of the people in the list are from the US and the only Dutch entry is European Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes, who is ranked 44th.
Kroes is two spots ahead of US First Lady Laura Bush, who was number four in the first Forbes list in 2004.
