PostNL saw turnover in the third quarter decrease by 2.5 percent to 991 million euros.

PostNL delivered seven percent less mail in its Dutch home market compared to 2010. However, turnover of parcel deliveries in the Netherlands grew by 7.5 percent to 143 million euros. Turnover in foreign markets Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom increased by 22 million euros to 367 million.

PostNL’s reorganisation costs for this year will be lower than expected. The resulting savings on the other hand will be 10 million higher than the original 60 to 70 million euro estimate.

PostNL has increased its projected operational result for 2011 to more than 170 million euros. Earlier projections mentioned a turnover of between 130 and 170 million euros.
