13 March 2007, AMSTERDAM – The police raided nineteen homes in Terneuzen, Hulst, Axel, Bergen op Zoom and the Belgian town of Maldegem during a large anti-drug operation on Tuesday morning. The Zeeland police announced this today.

AMSTERDAM – The police raided nineteen homes in Terneuzen, Hulst, Axel, Bergen op Zoom and the Belgian town of Maldegem during a large anti-drug operation on Tuesday morning. The Zeeland police announced this today.

Those arrested are suspected of illegal cultivation of cannabis and participation in a criminal organisation. A cannabis nursery of 706 plants has also been closed down.

The police confiscated five cars and a television and expect there could be more arrests and seizures. Most of the homes raided are in Terneuzen.
