Police find 500 kg of hard drugs

ROTTERDAM – The police have found more than 500 kg of amphetamines in the Rotterdam region over the past two weeks. Five suspects have been arrested, the police reported on Wednesday.

ROTTERDAM – The police have found more than 500 kg of amphetamines in the Rotterdam region over the past two weeks. Five suspects have been arrested, the police reported on Wednesday.

Police stumbled upon 15 bags of amphetamines in a delivery van owned by a 40-year-old man from Hoorn on 12 June. They later found more than 250 kg of the substance in a shed in Barendrecht.

Officers have arrested two Rotterdam residents aged 29 and 35 and a 42-year-old Englishman. The police also found two firearms and 350 g of ecstasy pills at the home of a 41-year-old Barendrecht resident.
