Philips wants to take over Emergin
Dutch electronics company Philips announced Tuesday its aim to take over IT company Emergin.

AMSTERDAM - Dutch electronics company Philips announced Tuesday its aim to take over IT company Emergin.
US-based Emergin manufactures software for medical equipment. The software picks up on changes in the condition of patients linked to medical equipment and alerts medical staff.
The IT company has about 100 employees and yearly turnover of USD 18 million.
Philips did not publish any financial details about the takeover plans, but told reporters it intended to finalise the transaction before the end of 2007.
