THE HAGUE – Pharmacists' organisation KNMP will be given more access to patients' medical files from now on. The organisation has confirmed a report on this in the AD.

The pharmacists expect to better be able to prevent errors in medication use now.

The pharmacists and organisation of clinical chemists signed an agreement to this effect on Wednesday at the ministry of public health.

Hospital laboratories often have information on a patient that could influence the effect of medicines, for example that the patient has a slow or fast metabolism.

Until now pharmacists have had little if any access to this information. Now they will be able to adjust doses of medicine to the patient's situation.
