DELFT  - A dead man was found by someone walking near the Delftse Hout nature and recreation area this morning, the police have announced.

At about 5.15 am a passer-by saw a car with its motor running standing still near the Bieslandseweg and the Noordeindseweg. The body of a dead man was lying in front of the car. The passer-by immediately alerted police.

A spokesperson for the police says the man was the victim of a crime. Nothing more is known about the victim's identity or the motive behind the crime.
