PSV very lenient toward drink-driver Jonathan Reis
Premier League football club PSV has reacted quite mildly to Jonathan Reis' 'lapse' at the weekend. On its website, the Eindhoven football club announced on Monday it had imposed a 'hefty fine' on its player who got arrested for drunk driving. Earlier, the Brazilian player was fired from PSV because he was caught using cocaine, but was allowed to come back after he kicked the habit.
PSV Technical Manager Marcel Brands says: "we said right from the start that there would be pitfalls in the long process we engaged in with Jonathan. It is really disappointing that his happened and he is very sorry about the incident. We have had a long conversation and PSV will further intensify his coaching".
