AMSTERDAM — The Government Information Service RVD is taking legal action against the organiser of the Ex Porn Star party in Amsterdam after posters appeared depicting Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende in a pornographic pose.

The RVD is demanding that the poster, which has also been placed on the internet, be removed as quickly as possible, newspaper De Telegraaf reported Tuesday.

RVD director Gerard van der Wulp said the posters were tasteless and that he was always opposed to the commercial exploitation of government ministers.

Ex Porn Star, which will be held in Amsterdam mid-October, is part of a series of parties that take a conspiratorial look at the pornography industry.

The poster depicts the prime minister with his hands on the buttocks of a naked woman, who is sitting on top of him.

Sex organs are shielded with a sign saying: "Norms & Values Censure", referring to the prime minister's campaign for a return to traditional values. Balkenende's eyes are covered over with a black sign saying: "Balkie".

The hearing will be held in Amsterdam Court on Wednesday from 10.30am.
