Owner of children's day care centre arrested for sex abuse
A man arrested on suspicion of child abuse is co-owner of a children's day care centre on a farm near the north-east Dutch city of Emmeloord. The man is suspected of recently abusing two girls aged four and twelve.
The case came to light when a complaint was filed with the police against the man last week. The two girls were heard by experts in child sex abuse cases on Monday. Parents of the victims and other children at the day care centre have been informed.
The man has been questioned, but has not confessed. There are no indications so far that more children were involved. The police have searched the man's house.
The day care centre, which the man ran with his wife, has closed.
