AMSTERDAM — A national debate on wild sex parties in the countryside is essential, the head of the organisation that looks after the Veluwe nature area said on Friday.
Director Eric Droogh was commenting after police discovered an orgy in full swing on a beach in the Bussloo recreational area on Monday.
Police found about 20 "extremely boisterous" people taking part in an orgy on the beach. The participants were given verbal warnings, planet.nl reported.
"Park wardens have too little scope to intervene. The only possibility is to catch the transgressors red-handed," Droogh said.
The number of open-air sex parties are increasing in public places in the Netherlands. "Outdoor sex is now commonly occurring in more public places and along highways. In fact it is becoming an uncontrollable problem in the Netherlands," Droogh said.
He called for clearer guidelines and sanctions to deal with the out-door sex phenomenon.
This story originated on planet.nl as part of its silly season or komkommertijd reporting. During the summer months when traditional news sources close down, the media goes in search of stories that would scarcely make the grade during the rest of the year.
