From October until December 2011, The Hague Bridge will organise several events and also international lessons at schools in Centrum. The principle goals of The Hague Bridge are to build bridges between local Dutch and international residents, and to show and introduce all citizens of The Hague why it has earnt the name ‘The International City of Peace and Justice’.

It is a great pleasure to invite you to attend the opening event of The Hague Bridge in the city district of Centrum. We are delighted to host the event at Humanity House – a new museum and educational centre that only opened in December 2010. At Humanity House you can experience what it feels like to live in a place gripped by conflict or hit by disaster.

Mayor van Aartsen will open the event and Mr. Pieter de Baan, Executive Director of the Trust Fund for Victims, will tell you about the assistance they give to victims of crimes and their families under the ICC’s jurisdiction. There will be an opportunity to look around Humanity House (with free tickets to return to fully experience the journey through the museum), and there will be excellent food and wine and an opportunity to socialise.

Admission is, of course, free.
