One-egg triplets born in Nijmegen

11 September 2007, AMSTERDAM (dpa) - Rare triplets conceived from a single ovum have been born in the Netherlands, medical staff of the Sint Radboud Hospital in Nijmegen told reporters on Tuesday.

AMSTERDAM (dpa) - Rare triplets conceived from a single ovum have been born in the Netherlands, medical staff of the Sint Radboud Hospital in Nijmegen told reporters on Tuesday.

The healthy monozygotic triplets, born Monday, are all boys and were named Luc, Wes and Nik. They were born by Caesarean section.

Luc weighed 2.250 kilograms, Wes 2.045kg and Nik 2.06kg.

The proud parents, Angela and Jan de Braak, have created a website www.debraakjes.kidzsite.nl to show their children to the world.
