Occupy radio ship - reports untrue
Recent reports in Dutch newspapers and other media about the Dutch Occupy movement preparing to launch its own radio station have proven to be unfounded.
According to rumours, a radio ship was due to be anchored outside territorial waters off the Dutch coast near The Hague. Occupy activists were then to use the ship to broadcast programmes on 107 FM for supporters and other interested parties.
Broadcasting on FM from sea to land across a 12 mile stretch of territorial waters would require a transmitter mast at least 100 metres high.
