The justice department thinks the sentence is too light. Nor does the OM agree with the court's acquittal of Van D. on the charge of deprivation of liberty of Suzanne Wisman.

The 46-year-old Van D. killed 12-year-old Suzanne Wisman at the end of last year after raping her in his camper van. He drove over her several times with the vehicle. The OM had demanded that Van D. be sentenced to 30 years in prison along with compulsory psychiatric treatment.
