North Sea Jazz opens in Rotterdam on Friday

ROTTERDAM - The North Sea Jazz Festival is starting Friday in Rotterdam's Ahoy concert hall.
International artists of various genres, including Roy Hargrove, Herbie Hancock, Angie Stone and Sergio Mendes will perform at the three-day festival.
All 60,000 tickets for Saturday have been sold out.
It is the 33rd edition of North Sea Jazz, and the third time it is being held in Rotterdam. The event used to be held in The Hague.
The organisation is working on a Russian version of the festival in St Petersburg. The Russian North Sea Jazz is due to be held for the first time in 2009.
