AMSTERDAM –Insiders say the coalition accord being drawn up by Christian Democrat CDA, Labour PvdA and ChristenUnie will number 40 pages.
This makes it longer than the coalition agreement for Balkenende’s second government, which contained 20 pages, including a financial appendix.
The ‘strategic accord’ drawn up for Balkenende’s first government counted 47 pages.
Negotiators for the parties Jan Peter Balkenende, Wouter Bos and Andres Rouvoet are putting the last touches on the agreements for the coming four years.
The Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB) will calculate the effects for purchasing power and the economy this week.
On Friday the accord will be put before the parties’ factions in Parliament.
