Temperatures dropped sharply throughout the Netherlands on Friday night and the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Netherlands - Temperatures dropped sharply throughout the Netherlands on Friday night and the early hours of Saturday morning. The lowest fall was recorded in the village of Deelen, near the eastern city of Arnhem, where the temperature dropped to 18 degrees Celsius below zero. That is a record for 2009.

Experts are predicting it will continue to remain bitterly cold throughout the country, with fresh falls of snow on Saturday night and Sunday.
