Motorist ploughs into crowd
A motorist ploughed into a group of people early on Sunday morning in the eastern city of Arnhem. A 22-year-old man sustained injuries in the incident, according to the police.
The driver had apparently been involved in an argument on the street before veering into the group on Velperplein. A car window was smashed during the row, reportedly by the injured man or one of his friends.
The car with two other passengers then drove onto the pavement, purposefully ramming into the people. The 22-year-old has been taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
The car then drove off. Police are investigating the matter and have called on witnesses to make themselves known to the authorities.
