BREDA – Police in Breda are still unable to clarify the motive for the stabbing at the Florijn College in Breda on Monday morning.

The 16-year-old victim has pressed charges and the questioning of the 18-year-old suspect continues. Statements have to be verified and many witnesses still have to be questioned, a spokesperson for the police explained on Tuesday.

The suspect will most likely be arraigned on Wednesday in Breda. The headmaster of Florijn College has already said that the young man will not be able to continue his education at the school.

A spokesperson for the school says that students and teachers were provided counselling on Tuesday morning to help them cope with Monday’s incident.

The students are very upset but have remained calm, the spokesperson said.
