More Dutch clubs likely to compete in Europa League

Chances are increasing that the Netherlands will be able to register four clubs for the Europa League in the 2012-13 season. The Dutch are trailing Turkey by only 0.2 points on the so-called co-efficient list following a number of Turkish defeats over the past few days.

The Netherlands are in 10th position on the list, which is based on the results of all European participants over the past five seasons. Turkey is currently just ahead in the coveted 9th place, which entitles it to four Europa League tickets.

Although it is still early days in the current season, three Turkish clubs have already had to bow out, whereas the Dutch only had to let Feyenoord Rotterdam go.
