AMSTERDAM — Amsterdam Court sentenced on Monday two men for their role in the kidnapping of millionaire's daughter Claudia Melchers last year.

The men were convicted of helping main suspect Izaan M. to kidnap Melchers from her Amsterdam home.

A 38-year-old man was sentenced to six years jail, while the prosecution had demanded eight years, news service NOS reported.

A 45-year-old man was given three years jail, one of which was suspended.

The man was given a lighter sentence because he was judged to be of diminished responsibility.

Main suspect Izaan M. is being held in Brazil.

The public prosecution expects his extradition within the next three months.
