AMSTERDAM — Playing on a tenuous link to the Dutch Royal Family, a cousin of Princess Maxima is bringing her pole dancing act to Amsterdam to promote a new brand of "love potion" Champagne.

Stripper Laura Vina plays up her link to Maxima.

Laura Vina, 22, works as a professional stripper and pole dancer in Buenos Aires. A German newspaper revealed earlier this year that she is a cousin of Argentine Princess Maxima, who is married to Crown Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.

Vina uses the family link to promote herself in Argentina.

Now she has agreed to perform at a party in Amsterdam on 3 December being organised by the Ex Porn Star company.

Flyers for the event are headlined "maximaal aan de paal", or maximal on the post, and feature Vina wearing a crown. Vina also shares her childhood memories of the future Dutch queen.

"When we were small I lived next to Maxima in the Argentine city of Pergamo. She constantly came over to play with my older brother," Vina says on the back of the flyer.

Gijs van de Wint, one of the people running the Amsterdam event, said Vina would also help promote the new Ex Porn Star Champagne, or as he described it, "our own love potion".

The Ex Porn Star organisation has used public figures before to publicise its events.

In October, Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende got a court injunction banning the use of his face to promote October's Ex Porn Star party. The offending poster featured a cartoon image of the leader of the Christian Democrat Party having sex with a woman.
