AMSTERDAM — A 26-year-old man roughly ejected by security personnel at Sunday's Bavaria City Racing event in Rotterdam died on Tuesday night, according to a police spokesman.

Six men involved in the incident are already being held for the assault.

The head of security at the event said the victim and a group of friends were making a nuisance of themselves.

The man was then thrown out of the VIP enclosure by security staff.

The security chief said there had been a skirmish, but claimed his team had not thrown any punches.

It was found later that evening that the ejected man had internal head injuries.

He died of his wounds on Tuesday night.
