The Dutch football association KNVB is having its lawyers look at the screening of goals against a rival for the Premier League title during a match between Ajax and Excelsior at the weekend reports AD.

During Sunday’s match footage of goals scored by Feyenoord against PSV, one of Ajax’s main rivals for the Premier League title, were displayed on giant screens during the game. Each time, a resounding cheer went up from Ajax fans.

Excelsior coach Alex Pastoor thinks Ajax played better after the screening of the second goal by Feyenoord at home in Rotterdam. “I found it curious. Supporters can find out the score anyway, but the images have more impact.”

A spokesperson for the KNVB says: 'It is on a list of things the lawyers are looking at. There are no clear guidelines at the moment.”

Feyenoord beat PSV 3-1. Ajax won 4-1 from Excelsior. This puts Ajax in second place ahead of PSV in the league. At the moment FC Twente is in the lead.
