LISSE - The Keukenhof in Lisse opened the "Olympic year" on Wednesday by planting a huge mosaic of bulbs in the shape of a Chinese dragon. The dragon symbolises the beginning of a new year.

The mosaic is 10 metres by 15 metres and consists of almost 25,000 tulips and Muscari bulbs. In the spring of 2008 the dragon will be in full bloom. The Keukenhof theme for the coming spring will be "China –The Olympic Games 2008- Beijing". The Keukenhof  will be open from 20 March to 18 May 2008.
