AMSTERDAM – Television producer Endemol is to make its programmes available to KPN, the parties announced on Tuesday.

The telecoms provider plans to use the content for its television, mobile telephony and internet platforms, and a new joint company will be established to produce new formats and content, including advertising.

KPN will have access to the Endemol library of domestic and international titles, including programmes such as 'Medisch Centrum West', 'De Mounties' and 'Tien voor taal'

KPN also announced that in the second quarter of this year it will launch its digital television service, IPTV. Contracts have already been signed with 60 content providers, including the Dutch public and commercial channels.
