Indonesian Vice President Muhammad Jusuf Kalla has held a meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende in The Hague.

THE HAGUE - The meeting came in preparation for the G20 summit in London, at which leaders of the world's 20 largest economies will again discuss the worldwide financial crisis.

The meeting in The Hague also dealt with relations between the Netherlands and Indonesia, a former Dutch colony which declared its independence in 1945.

On Sunday Mr Kalla will meet representatives of the Indonesian community in the Netherlands. He will return home on Monday on a charter flight.

A scheduled flight with Indonesian airline Garuda was not an option, as it features on a European blacklist.
