ING shares on Friday lost 10 percent on the Amsterdam stock exchange, sinking to their lowest value ever.

THE NETHERLANDS - ING shares dropped by 30 percent over the past five days.

The move appears to come in response to unconfirmed reports that the bank will stop paying dividend on perpetual bonds.

Financial analysts warn that the rumours could send the bank and insurance group into a downward spiral and are calling for another government cash boost.
