Holland beat Austria 3-1 quite comfortably in a friendly match at the Philips stadium in Eindhoven, their first international fixture this year.

Wesley Sneijder put away the first goal for the Dutch national side after 28 minutes of the first half. Austria briefly looked like scoring in injury time, but Franz Scheimer put the ball way over the crossbar.

With only a few minutes of the second half gone, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored with a powerful header to put Holland two ahead. The third Dutch goal came from a penalty taken by Dirk Kuyt. Another penalty finally brought Austria a consolation goal by Marko Arnautovic in the 84th minute.
