AMSTERDAM – The police announced on Wednesday that the father suspected of killing his wife and two sons will soon be released from hospital.
The police found the bodies of the three family members on Tuesday. The father was admitted to hospital with "serious injuries," according to police. He will be brought before the public prosecution office in Zutphen once he is released from hospital.
The police suspect him of killing his wife and children.
Autopsies are being conducted on the woman and two children. The police stated on Tuesday that there was no indication that they had suffered a particularly violent death.
It is possible that the family members died after ingesting deadly amounts of pills. The police do not want to confirm or deny this at the moment. Nor are police saying anything about why the father was admitted to hospital.
Twenty investigators are working on the case. Investigation of the home continues today.
