Gullit sacked as Grozny coach
Russian football club Terek Grozny has sacked its Dutch coach Ruud Gullit after he failed to meet Terek Chairman Ramzon Kadirov’s demand to secure a victory over Amkar Perm.
To add insult to injury, Terek lost Tuesday's match 1-0 through an own goal. Ruud Gullit was sacked just minutes after the final whistle.
However, Mr Gullit said he would have been sacked even if Terek had been victorious. Terek Grozny has announced that the Dutch coach can maybe stay on as a youth trainer, but “will definitely no longer be Terek’s head coach”. Ruud Gullit is not expected to take Terek up on its offer.
