Groningen bar turned into smoking room

The northern Dutch city of Groningen has the first café in the Netherlands where people can legally smoke again.

GRONINGEN - The owner of neighbourhood bar De Balk moved the actual bar into the storage room, which allowed her to turn the rest of the café into a smoking area.

The Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority says the owner is not breaking the law.

The move does, however, require customers to help out by bringing their own glasses back to the bar because staff are not allowed to work in the smoking room.

Owner Athne McGhie says her customers have been extremely co-operative and De Balk's patrons are extremely responsible.

I wonder what will happen if a fight breaks out in the bar. All the staff will have to stay in the storage room.
