A 16-year-old girl was stabbed at the Rotterdam metro station Slinge on Monday evening.

ROTTERDAM – A 16-year-old girl was stabbed at the Rotterdam metro station Slinge on Monday evening. The perpetrator is thought to be a 15-year-old girl, police have reported.

The stabbing took place just before 7 pm. Witnesses say the 15-year-old was with a group of about four other girls. The suspect has been arrested.

The police hope CCTV footage will confirm the perpetrator's identity.

The 16-year-old victim was stabbed in the stomach and underwent emergency surgery. Her situation was reported as stable on Monday evening.
