Four arrested following diamond robbery

7 September 2006, AMSTERDAM — Police arrested four men in Amsterdam on Wednesday evening on suspicion of involvement in the robbery of two diamond traders.

AMSTERDAM — Police arrested four men in Amsterdam on Wednesday evening on suspicion of involvement in the robbery of two diamond traders.

Earlier on Wednesday two armed men in ski masks took cases from the victims in the car park of a diamond fair in the southeast of Amsterdam. No information has been released about the value of the contents of the cases.

The robbers fled in a waiting car and it was found burnt out later on the Camera Obscuralaan in Amstelveen.

A short time later police arrested the four men but the cases and their contents are still missing.
