AMSTERDAM — Professional soccer player Geoffrey Prommayon of FC Eindhoven has been arrested on accusations he is connected with the laundering of drugs money.

Prommayon is one three footballers who have been investigated by the Public Prosecutor's Office in relation to the export and dealing in the party drug ecstasy, according to Rotterdam-based daily newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.

Justice officials declined to comment on the matter.

Prommayon, 31, from Thailand, is a defender with FC Eindhoven and is a good friend of Yassine Abdellaoui, who is a forward for football club De Graafschap in Breda.
