EINDHOVEN – Flight traffic has been seriously disrupted on Wednesday because of the heavy fog. Eindhoven Airport cancelled nearly all departing flights this morning.

Arriving flights are being diverted to the Niederrhein airport near Düsseldorf, a spokesperson reports. Passengers are being transported from there to Eindhoven by bus.

Flights destined for Eindhoven from London and Hamburg are being held at their airports awaiting better weather. It is unclear how long the situation will continue.
