3 October 2007, THE HAGUE – Five Dutch soldiers were injured during a patrol in the Afghan province of Uruzgan on Tuesday. They were fired upon by enemy fighters, the ministry of defence reported on Tuesday night.

THE HAGUE – Five Dutch soldiers were injured during a patrol in the Afghan province of Uruzgan on Tuesday. They were fired upon by enemy fighters, the ministry of defence reported on Tuesday night.

The injuries range from broken bones to scrapes and back pain. The soldiers have been brought to Kamp Holland and are in good condition, the defence department reports.

The shooting took place near Surkh Murgab, three kilometres north east of the Poentjak patrol base.
