FC Twente hammer sc Heerenveen

In the Dutch Premier League, FC Twente have hammered sc Heerenveen - beating them 5-1 in the Abe Lenstra Stadium. Twente scored three times in the first half with goals by Luuk de Jong, Willem Janssen and Marc Janko. In the second half, Emir Bajrami scored the fourth goal. Heerenveen’s Narsingh put the ball in the net just minutes before the whistle. But Janko took a penalty in the final minute of the game sealing a victory for the ‘Tukkers’.

Excelsior has earned its first point of the season in a 1-all draw against De Graafschap at home in Rotterdam. Rydell Poepon scored in the 27th minute for the team from Doetichem. It was almost the end of the game before Leen van Steensel equalised for Excelsior.

NAC Breda vs FC Groningen was truly a game of two halves. Groningen dominated the first half putting the northern team two goals ahead before the break with goals by Bacuna and Petter Andersson. Minutes into the second half, NAC’s young substitute Alex Schalk scored almost straight away in his debut for the home team. Ten minutes later, Anthony Lurling scored the equaliser 2-2.

Vitesse have beaten FC Utrecht 2-1 at home. Wilfried Bony scored both goals for the ambitious club from Arnhem. The first goal came after a penalty was awarded to the home team within five minutes. Jacob Mulenga scored the equaliser in the 26th minute for FC Utrecht. But Bony decided the match just before the final whistle. FC Utrecht were forced to play with ten men after Marcus Nilsson was sent off in the 87th minute.
