Extra security for Russian properties

The National Coordinator for Counter-Terrorism has announced that several Russian-owned buildings in the Netherlands are to receive extra security.

THE HAGUE - They include the Russian Embassy and the official residence of the Russian ambassador in The Hague, as well as the offices of Aeroflot and the Russian trade delegation in Amsterdam.

Although no official reason for the extra security has been given, it is rumoured that the move has been prompted by the dispute over gas supplies between Russia and Ukraine.
