Extra cash for local dementia living units
The government is earmarking 80 million euros extra for the care of elderly people suffering from dementia who can no longer live at home.
The money will be used to set up local living groups, allowing people to remain in their neighbourhoods, and close to family and friends.
Deputy Health Minister Jet Bussemaker is writing to parliament outlining the plan. The hope is that the dementia living groups will become a fact within the next three years.
