Poles who feel they are provided with inadequate housing or paid too little can lodge a complaint by calling a free hotline.

The Netherlands – Poles based in the Netherlands who believed they are exploited at work can call a free hotline staffed by native speakers as of Friday.

The move comes following news that a group of Romanians were found living in terrible slave-like conditions while working at an asparagus farm in the province of Noord Brabant.

About 5,000 crooked temporary job agencies operate in the Netherlands, said employers' organisation ABU.

In addition, the Polish workers can lodge complaints about low wages and inadequate housing on a website.
