AMSTERDAM – A 30-year-old man from Estonia was severely injured when he fell out of the window of the Pullitzer hotel on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam on Monday night. The man was taken to hospital in a critical condition, according to a spokesperson for the police.

The incident took place at around 9.p.m. It is not yet clear how the man could have fallen out of the window.

The man had reportedly had a row with other hotel guests and a hotel staff member prior to his fall. It is assumed that the man was under the influence of drugs, the police spokesperson said. The police found drugs and alcohol in the man’s room but declined to specify exactly what kind of drugs or alcohol were involved.
