EMPEL – A car company in the Noord Brabant town of Empel (municipality of 's Hertogenbosch) went up in flames on Tuesday evening. The owner of the company in the Uilenwaard industrial terrain was injured, a spokesperson for the police has said.

Because of the smoke the A2 at the nearby Empel junction was shut off for several hours.

Residents of the neighbourhood behind the industrial terrain had to keep windows and doors shut. At about midnight the fire brigade had the fire under control. The car company was completely destroyed.
