AMSTERDAM (dpa) - Thousands of Dutch Presley fans are expected to attend the Elvis Memorial Concert on Thursday.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death, the village of Valkenburg was temporarily renamed Presley City. Valkenburg is in the southern Netherlands.

The concert - at the Kuurpark compound, presented by public radio DJ Daniel Dekker - is an initiative of Dutch rock 'n roll artists, René Shuman and Angel-Eye, known for their Elvis repertoire.

Other guest artists were to include Wanda Jackson, known as the Grand Lady of Rock 'n Roll. She was close to Presley in the 1950s.
