Economy climbs out of recession

13 November 2003 , AMSTERDAM — The Dutch economy has pulled itself out of a nine-month recession, recording 0.1 percent growth in the third quarter of 2003, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) said on Thursday.

AMSTERDAM — The Dutch economy has pulled itself out of a nine-month recession, recording 0.1 percent growth in the third quarter of 2003, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) said on Thursday.

The Dutch economy suffered 0.3 percent negative growth in the last quarter of 2002 and officially entered a recession when Gross Domestic Product (GDP) fell a further 0.3 percent in the first three months of this year.
