Dutchman among Marrakesh victims
A Dutchman was among the dead in the bomb attack at a crowded tourist cafe in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh. Two other Dutch nationals, a man and a woman, were seriously injured in the attack, according to the foreign ministry. The identity of the foreign victims has not yet been revealed.
Thursday’s deadly attack claimed the lives of 15 people, including 11 foreigners. Twenty people were injured. It is thought that the explosion at the café on the popular Jjemaa el-Fna Square, a cultural heritage site that draws some million tourists a year, was the work of a suicide bomber. King Mohammed IV has ordered an urgent probe into the attack.
